Winning artwork by 12-year old LimaKabul, 7 April 2018
A 12-year-old Afghan school girl Lima, from Kabul’s Ashiana high school, has been selected among the winners of an international art competition organized by WHO to celebrate World Health Day 2018.
The theme of the celebration this year was “universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere.”
The children’s art competition is organized annually by the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, and children between ages 8-18 are invited to participate from across the 22 countries in the region.
The winners receive a financial stipend in addition to a Certificate of Merit signed by the WHO regional director.
