إن برنامج الأدوية الأساسية والسياسات الصيدلانية لمنظمة الصحة العالمية يهدف إلى إنقاذ الأرواح وتحسين الصحة من خلال ضمان جودة ونجاعة وسلامة الأدوية والاستعمال الرشيد لها، بما في ذلك الأدوية التقليدية. وهو يعزز الحصول العادل والمضمون الاستمرار على الأدوية الأساسية وبخاصة للفقراء والمحرومين.
