23 August 2016 – WHO Country Office Egypt with support from the WHO vaccine preventable diseases programme conducted a vaccine management training workshop in Alexandria from 16 to 21 July, 2016.
The aim was to strengthen cold chain practices and vaccine management activities in Egypt by strengthening participants’ knowledge and skills enabling them to critically evaluate the cold chain system and improve their associated supervisory skills.
Participants from central level attended the workshop (Expanded Programme on Immunization, primary vaccine store and communicable diseases control department, Ministry of Health and Population preventive sector) besides participants from subnational level (health directorates and districts).
