An assessment of the malaria situation in the country was conducted using the malaria elimination audit tool as a prerequisite for malaria elimination certification.
Provision of support for vector-borne disease control and response
After detection of yellow fever mosquitos (Aedes aegypti) in southern Islamic Republic of Iran, WHO supported the procurement of some entomological traps, insecticides and larvicides to prevent the establishment of local transmission of dengue fever or chikungunya.
