A WHO follow-up mission to strengthen the HIV voluntary counselling and testing system took place in Oman from 4 to 24 May 2012. The objectives of the mission were to finalize the strategic framework to improve uptake of client-initiated and provider-initiated HIV voluntary counselling and testing, develop draft Standard Operating Procedures for selected demonstration sites and prepare and deliver training for HIV counsellors on the voluntary counselling and testing system.
