The main objective of the Research in Priority Areas of Public Health Grant is to enhance and promote the sustainability and efficiency of health systems in the countries of the Region.
The specific objectives of the Grant are to:
- generate knowledge relevant to local priority problems and issues of public health importance with special emphasis on health systems research
- help build capacity for research through learning by doing and hands-on training
- strengthen the link between research and policy-/decision-making
- enhance the exchange of experiences between countries in the Region.
