A mid-year surveillance and Expanded Programme on Immunization review will take place from 11 to 14 June 2012 in Juba. The review will involve all stakeholders working on immunization and surveillance in South Sudan.
The meeting is being by organized by the WHO South Sudan country office and Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.

WHO will host a stakeholders meeting on strategic reorganization of community-directed treatment with ivermectin for onchocerciasis control and co-implementation for neglected tropical diseases in South Sudan on 30 May 2012.
All partners working on, or interested in, onchocerciasis in South Sudan are expected to participate, as well as the Ministry of Health and other state and national level officials.

The WHO South Sudan country office supported a validation workshop for human resources for health policy on 14 May 2012. This will be followed by a launch of the human resources for health policy, which will be agreed on once the validation exercise has taken place.
