About the WHO Fellowship Programme
The WHO Fellowship Programme serves as a tool to support Member States to scale up the production of health personnel in the Region and build capacity and skills to overcome the critical challenges being faced in human resources for health. It prepares health staff from WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean Region to assume leading positions in public health through technical capacity-building in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and long- and short-term courses. It facilitates the active participation of health workers in the economic and social development of their countries.
WHO’s Fellowship Programme is a joint undertaking by WHO, national health administrations of sending and receiving countries and fellow and host institutions.
