L’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) représente, au sein du système des Nations Unies, l’autorité directrice et coordinatrice de l’action de santé publique. Le Bureau régional de l’OMS pour la Méditerranée orientale est l’un des six bureaux régionaux de l’OMS à travers le monde. Il dessert la Région de la Méditerranée orientale qui regroupe 21 États Membres et la Palestine (Cisjordanie et Bande de Gaza), avec une population de près de 583 millions d’habitants.
