The launch was held on 11 July 2011 under the auspices of the Prime Minister, organized by National Road Safety Council in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Transport, other ministries and national partners, General Authority for Roads, Bridges and Land Transfer and nongovernmental organizations.
The launch was also attended by the consortium partners, representative from Bloomberg Philanthropies, WHO, ministers, heads of governmental and nongovernmental organizations, youth groups as well as UN agencies, ambassadors of the RS10 countries and other high-level dignitaries. The event was held with significant media presence and multi-media coverage.
