World Bank Group to invest US$ 700 million by 2015 to improve women and children’s health in low-income countries

New York City, September 23, 2013 — Today at the United Nations, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim will announce that the Bank Group projects at least $700 million in financing through the end of 2015 to help developing countries reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to improve maternal and child health.
