The investigation of the causality of adverse events following immunization, particularly the most serious, is challenging because all possible causes must be considered. This 4-day training course to conduct causality assessment of adverse events following immunization aimed to strengthen surveillance of these events in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Health experts from the Food and Drug Organization, national regulatory authorities, disease management centres, universities of medical sciences, pediatricians and experts from immunization programmes attended the training session, which was facilitated by WHO staff and consultant.
