Health sector response to gender-based violence in emergencies

Extensive training courses on the health sector's response to gender-based violence in emergencies for health Participants of the course on the health sector's response to gender-based violence during emergencies, QuettaParticipants of the course on the health sector's response to gender-based violence during emergencies, Quettacluster partners and health care providers were conducted in seven flood-affected districts of Baluchistan, including Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Killa Abdullah, Lorali, Lasbela, Kalat and Zhob inMay 2012 and eight flood-affected districts of Sindh, including Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad  in June 2012. 

Care providers were trained in planning skills and response mechanisms to treat the victims of gender-based violence as a public health problem during emergencies and humanitarian crisis. Gender-based violence protocols and treatment guidelines were shared during the training.
