The WHO country office in Islamabad in collaboration with national partners completed a five-day pilot-test training for the implementation of the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) on 18 April 2014.
GATS is a nationally representative household survey which enables countries to collect data on adult tobacco use and key tobacco control measures. The data assists countries in the formulation, tracking and implementation of effective tobacco control interventions.
