View infographic on the response of mobile medical clinics in Duhok governorate, March, 201520 April 2015 – The Department of Health was provided with 4 mobile medical clinics on 23 January, 2015 with the support of the Saudi Funds. All the mobile clinics are operational and working in 4 different districts (Zakho, Sumel, Shekhan, Bardarash), districts hosting a high number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Duhok governorate, Iraq.
In March, the number of consultations recorded by these four clinics was 12 502 consultations. Of the consultations recorded during this period, 8115 cases (64%) were acute respiratory infections, 1470 cases (12%) were skin diseases followed by 679 cases (5%) of acute diarrhoea. 536 cases (4%) had eye infections, while 649 cases (5%) complained of hypertension and 768 cases (6%) had diabetes.
76% of the consultations were children above 5 years of age and 24% were under 5. As an average, 52% of consultations were female and 48% were male.
The highest number of consultations (11 573) were carried out by the clinics working in the Sumel district, followed by 4747 consultations in the Esyen district. Mobile clinics working in the Bardarash district provided 1772 consultations and the lowest number of consultations (1076) were provided in Zakho district.
Neither major alerts nor outbreaks were generated or deducted by the clinics working is the 4 districts.
