WHO Representative Dr Jaffar Hussain visits a paediatric hospital in SuleimaniyahErbil, 8 October – A WHO Iraq team, led by WHO Representative Dr Syed Jaffar Hussain, visited cholera patients in Suleimaniyah paediatric hospital and surgical teaching hospital to monitor the response activities to the cholera and treatment level. Dr Hussain praised the high quality of care and response of the hospital team in treating patients. He said, “A dedicated team of senior doctors along with junior doctors, nurses, paramedic and support staff is working round the clock, all disinfection measures are in place and functional. Medical staff are also following all essential safety measures and ensuring all essential medicines are available”.
