Global status report on noncommunicable diseases 2014

The report, framed around the nine voluntary global targets provides data on the current situation, identifying bottlenecks as well as opportunities and priority actions for attaining the targets. The report also provides the latest available estimates on NCD mortality (2012) and risk factors, 2010-2012.

This year, countries will begin setting their national targets. National progress on achieving the voluntary global targets by 2025 will be measured on the 2010 baseline provided in the report, and will be reviewed at the Third High-Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in 2018.
