The technical papers on noncommunicable diseases were developed by the WHO Regional Office, to update the Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean. The Regional Committee is WHO’s decision-making body in this region, and meets yearly with representative from the 22 countries.
The below documents provide an overview of noncommunicable diseases at the time, in addition to the progress made by countries and WHO in this area of work, as well as a proposed way forward for both countries and WHO.
